Self Advocates in Leadership (SAIL) offers the information and assistance you need to speak up and be heard in
state government. Learn how you can let legislators and state agencies know what you think about issues such as housing, transportation, jobs, quality services and health care.
Here at Self Advocates In Leadership, we are driven by a single goal: to do our part in making the state of Washington a better place for all people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD). Our decision making process is:
1) Gathering information from all Self Advocacy groups in our networks,
2) Using a planning process where we listen to all the voices of S.A.I.L members, and
3) Working together we build the legislative agenda through respectful teamwork using the information we gathered.
We build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our efforts while we shape public policy in our state and federal government.
